About the Position
The University Librarian will provide strategic leadership and direction to the Library Services function. This key leadership position will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the Main and Law Libraries as well as the Balnaves Foundation Multimedia Learning Centre. Working collaboratively with faculties and portfolios including the Office of Learning and Teaching, Academic Skills Centre and IT, student leadership, and research support services, the role supports the student learning experience, teaching, research, and university community engagement.
  
Reporting to the Director, Student Success and Wellbeing, the University Librarian will oversee library and learning spaces and develop and implement library services aligned with the University’s strategic priorities. Key responsibilities will include overseeing library operations, ensuring services meet staff and student needs, and staying informed on emerging trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement and enhance the overall student experience at Bond University.

About the person

The ideal applicant will have strong executive leadership experience along with the demonstrated ability to manage staff, resources, budgets, relationships, change and projects effectively. It is essential that the successful applicant has the capability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders to support the education, research and community engagement functions of the University. Furthermore the applicant will have well developed strategic and analytical capabilities, an in-depth knowledge of academic library operations, a strong business acumen and a solid understanding of quality assurance frameworks. A working knowledge of emerging digital technologies including AI as well as an understanding of trends and developments in higher education and the ways in which academic libraries can be fully integrated in the teaching and research mission of the University will also be required for success in this role.

Salary details

Remuneration will be commensurate with skills and experience. Competitive salary packaging arrangements are available.
