About the position

Bond University and Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD) are collaborating to establish a Conjoint Allied Health Academic Researcher. This position is part of a broader partnership between NNSWLHD and the Northern NSW Academic Health Alliance (comprising Bond, Griffith, and Southern Cross Universities and TAFENSW).

The Conjoint Allied Health Academic Researcher is a key component of strategic development of allied health research capacity and capability across NNSWLHD in collaboration with the Northern NSW Academic Health Alliance. The objective of the role is to lead, in association with key allied health professionals/managers and local Education Providers, the development and implementation of NNSWLHD Allied Health research capacity building program. The appointee will contribute to research and scholarship that expands knowledge and practice in allied health. The appointee will also make a significant and original contribution to teaching and learning in their discipline.

About the person:

The successful candidate will have professional experience in an Allied Health discipline and hold a PhD in a relevant field. The candidate will have experience in fostering allied health clinician engagement in research and research training, in leading allied health research teams, working collaboratively across range of allied health professional disciplines, and a successful grant and publication track record.

Salary details:

Employment will be through Bond University under a conjoint agreement between the University and NNSWLHD. The position will be primarily located at Murwillumbah District Hospital along with other NNSWLHD Research staff with some travel expected to other parts of NNSWLHD and to Bond University.

The salary range for this appointment is from $122,074.88 (Assistant Professor B) to $144,783.95 (Assistant Professor A) plus 10.5% superannuation per annum. Salary packaging options are available for eligible employees.
