About the position

This is an outstanding opportunity for two suitably qualified academics to join the Faculty of Society & Design at an exciting time of growth and development.

The emphasis of the position is to deliver and undertake teaching and research within the areas of building measurement and quantity surveying.  Additional experience related to any of the areas listed below would be preferred:

  • Construction Technology
  • Building Information Modelling (BIM)
  • Building Services
  • Contract Administration
  • Construction Management
About the person:

The successful applicants will hold a PhD in a relevant field and/or have extensive relevant industry experience.  Additionally, be a member of or be eligible to be a member of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors or suitable equivalent.

As academic members of staff, the successful applicants will be responsible for contributing to teaching, research and service in the Faculty and University at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.  The successful applicant will also engage in professional and industry liaison and provide student support within the Faculty.

  • Assistant Professor A – the salary for this position commences at $144,783.95 (1 FTE) plus 10% superannuation per annum and will be negotiated commensurate on skills and experience.
  • Assistant Professor B – the salary for this position commences at $122,074.88 (1 FTE) plus 10% superannuation per annum and will be negotiated commensurate on skills and experience.
