To support the delivery of our programs and continue to excel in supporting students in achieving high-quality learning outcomes, the School is seeking to appoint an economics specialist who strives for excellence in learning and teaching. This position will contribute to the development of curriculum, design of assessment items and delivery of content through both face-to-face and online teaching. They will actively engage in research relevant to their discipline, publishing in high quality academic and professional publications; pursuing research grant opportunities; and/or engaging in the supervision of higher degree research students. They will also contribute to service activities including participating in the School’s recruitment activities, representing the School at external and internal events and contributing to other initiatives as required.

About the person:

The successful candidate will hold a PhD in economics, or a directly related field, and have previously taught in economics at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels. They will have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and a developing track record in research in economics with the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in cross-disciplinary research teams. They will also demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in teams with academics across various disciplines.

Salary details:

The salary for this position will range from $119,681 - $141,945 plus 10% superannuation and will be commensurate with skills and experience. Salary packaging options are available for eligible employees.
