About the position
The Faculty of Society & Design is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Technical Officer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and a diverse Faculty at an exciting time of growth and development. The position reports directly to the Technology Teaching and Support Manager and forms part of a team to provide specialist support to staff and students. The position will be responsible for the ongoing scheduling of maintenance on the facilities including the specialised production equipment used within the Faculty.
This position will be offered at a 0.9 FTE, working on a 9-day fortnight basis.
- About the person:
To be successful in this position, the candidate will have suitable technical qualifications at Certificate IV level or equivalent industry experience, as well as advanced working knowledge of all aspects of Video production equipment, and VR/AR software and equipment.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are mandatory, demonstrated by the ability to liaise, consult and present to a diverse range of clients and stakeholders. Additional experience in a teaching and/or interdisciplinary environment is desirable.

The commencing salary for this position is $55 627 (0.9FTE salary) plus 9.5% superannuation per annum.
