About the position

Bond University College (BUC) is seeking to appoint a Student Support and Success Officer to work as part of the Bond University College team providing professional, courteous and efficient student services in order to enhance Bond University’s reputation and the number of students that transition to the University.

This role contributes to the College’s student support strategy by providing information and support to students that is developmental in nature to assist students in meeting their personal educational goals. The Student Support and Success Officer will ensure that the provision of student advice and associated activities supports students at all stages of the student lifecycle, facilitating independence and self-direction, improving student engagement and aiding successful student outcomes.

About the person:

The successful candidate will hold a relevant degree with at least five years’ relevant work experience and a current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) or ability to obtain.

Demonstrated experience in counselling or building relationships to communicate with influence, including the ability to build genuine rapport and trust with the students, management and colleagues is essential, in conjunction with providing professional, quality client service when responding to enquiries and resolving complex issues.

You will possess high level communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate, consult, negotiate and liaise with students, academic and professional staff, and to manage and build relationships cross-culturally and at all levels. Intermediate competency in the Microsoft Office Suite is required, along with proven administrative, organisational and time management skills with the ability to apply judgment to adapt to a constantly changing work environment.

Remuneration for the appointment will commence at $70,159.47 plus 9.5% superannuation per annum.
