About the position

The Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine is seeking to appoint an Associate Professor who will play a key role in the development and teaching into the Nutrition and Dietetic discipline including the Master of Nutrition and Dietetic Practice and undergraduate subjects.

The position will contribute to the Faculty and University by providing leadership in research and scholarship, teaching, academic administration and community engagement, particularly in the professional field of nutrition and dietetics.

About the person:

The successful applicant will possess a PhD and be a recognised exemplar in professional and/or academic nutrition and dietetic practice. You will also have well-developed leadership, management and team building skills as well as a publication record, commensurate with level of appointment.

Candidates will be expected to have a track record in nutrition and dietetic professional practice, research and scholarship; and learning and teaching practice.  Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) status (or eligibility) in Australia is a requirement for this position. Advanced Accredited Practicing Dietitian and sports nutrition experience is desirable.

The commencing salary for this appointment is $143 126 plus 17.5% Superannuation. Salary packaging options are available for eligible employees.
