LAWS77-752: Law Curriculum Design and Pedagogy

Description

Drawing on the wider context of higher education policy and procedure, and the requirements of an accredited law program, this subject focuses on deliberate design of a program of instruction to enhance student learning. Legal educators will be equipped with the tools for effective curriculum design both at a whole of course level, and within an individual subject. This subject incorporates diverse frames of thought for intentional law curriculum design, including digital technologies, experiential learning, internationalisation, and Indigenous inclusion. As a fully online offering, this subject models student-centered approaches to learning providing for flexibility in student engagement in learning, and a case study in effective principles of online learning design. This subject will be offered in a fully online environment, modelling effective curriculum design and allowing for maximum learning flexibility.
