Bond University Film & Television student Hannah Keogh was already off to the Cannes Film Festival next month after impressing executives from an LA production company. Now she’s an entrant in the prestigious competition.
Hannah’s short film Wheels of Fortune has been accepted for judging at Cannes.
It’s another coup for the aspiring director and producer who had already been invited to Cannes after working for Electric Entertainment for two weeks at the Berlin International Film Festival in February.
Electric Entertainment is behind the TV series The Librarians and its film Bad Samaritan will premiere this year starring David Tennant and Robert Sheehan.
Hannah is helping the company with their international film production and distribution but in Berlin also got to attend premieres and see Bill Murray and Wes Anderson on the red carpet.
The former Assisi Catholic College student is studying film and television at Bond on a Collegiate Excellence Scholarship and will graduate later this year. She plans further study to get her Masters in directing.
As a child she hoped to become an actor but with her family’s strong business background she was drawn towards producing and directing.
Wheels of Fortune is about a wheelchair-bound boy who dreams of becoming a roller-skating star.
Hannah is currently writing scripts for a feature film and a TV pilot.
