National High School Mooting Competition educator resources

School and teacher financial and learning support

Bond University has committed significant financial and learning support to schools and teachers/coaches to make the National High School Mooting Competition a learning experience without parallel.

In 2022, the National High School Mooting Competition will be held virtually.  Participating schools will compete using an online video-conferencing platform.  The National Grand Final will be held on-campus at Bond University.

For the National Grand Final, Bond University will fund air travel for interstate and intrastate teams who have progressed to the finals.  The University will support participating students and the team (4 people per team).  Where necessary accommodation expenses for WA, SA and NT schools will be supported by the University. Schools from Victoria, Tasmania, NSW, ACT and Central/North Queensland will fly to the Gold Coast and return home the same day. Transfers from Gold Coast Airport to the campus, and return, are included. Food and refreshments whilst on campus will be provided. Parents and supporters of students are welcome to attend and are encouraged to offer their support, however, airfare cost for family and supporters is not part of the funding package.

Whilst on campus, outside of their mooting commitments, students and teachers will be hosted by Student Ambassadors who will conduct campus tours and answer questions about law school and being a law student.

Teachers (mooting coaches) and participating students will be offered a free day of professional development support via our Mooting Coach Masterclass which will be held as a webinar.
