Public Lecture: Protein powders: Use considerations for training gains and doping risk in foods

Kerry will discuss the effects of multi-ingredient protein supplements on resistance training gains in muscle mass and strength, as well as how to better understand the doping risks associated with protein fortified foods.

About the speaker

Kerry O’Bryan (Class of 2008) is an Accredited Sports Dietitian and Accredited Practising Dietitian.

He was a Sports Dietitian with the Paddle Australia Sprint and Slalom Canoe teams from 2018-2020, and the Queensland Reds 2020 season.

Kerry is currently a sessional lecturer of Sports Nutrition with the Bachelor of Exercise Science programs and the Master of Nutrition and Dietetic Practice at Bond University, Gold Coast, Australia.

With a background in Sports Science and physical preparation, he has previously worked as a strength and conditioning coach with both the Gold Coast Titans and Suns high performance units from 2010-2016.

Kerry is a dual-alumna of Bond’s Bachelor of Exercise & Sports Science and Master of Nutrition and Dietetic Practice.
