This research update on the importance of nutrition and good food as we age will be paired with a cooking demonstration. The latest research on The Lantern Project and how to improve nutrition in a cost-efficient manner will be presented by Gold Coast Dietitian, Cherie Hugo. Aged care chef extraordinaire, Tibor, from Tibor’s Kitchen will demonstrate how to make pureed meals for those with chewing and swallowing difficulties appetising and nourishing. Professor Liz Isenring from Bond University will highlight the latest evidence for improving nutritional status and quality of life as we age and her role with the Maggie Beer Foundation.
