Welcome to the inaugural 2017 Bond University Medicine Program Research Conference that provides an opportunity to hear from the Bond’s first Doctor of Medicine graduating class and many other distinguished speakers.

The conference will showcase the research and project work undertaken by the 90 graduating Doctor of Medicine students; as well as hearing from prominent medical specialists in the field, such as the Keynote Speaker Professor Ajay Rane OAM. This conference provides an opportunity for all Bond medical students to meet as one group for the first time, to hear the stories and reflections from their peers about how they have of connected theory, evidence based research and educational practice to influence their approaches to health care practice and contribute to new knowledge.
The conference will occur in Research Week and will be attended by 450-500 people – all Bond medical students, clinical supervisors, academics and delegates from the medical industry. The medical school is closed for the day to allow all year 1-5 medical students to attend and hear from their peers.

Professor Ajae Rane
Professor Ajae Rane is a urogynaecologist, humanitarian, philanthropist and Queenslander of Year in 2015. He will present ‘How to be a non linear doctor…anything is possible’.
Professor Victoria Brazil
Professor Victoria Brazil is an international speaker, Chair in emergency medicine and simulation guru. She will facilitate hypothetical panel of six on ‘The best way to predict the future is to create it…Bond Medicine in 2027’.
