Dr John Kearney Anatomy Laboratory

The Dr John Kearney Anatomy Laboratory is used extensively by students from Biomedical Science, Exercise and Sports Science, Medicine, and Physiotherapy. Students are encouraged to use the laboratory outside of scheduled class times to enhance learning and refine skills.

The laboratory is fitted to handle human cadaveric material.

It also contains other essential resources, such as an extensive collection of modern anatomical models, histology slide collection and student microscopes.

In addition to this specialised equipment, the laboratory also contains microscopes fitted with high-quality digital cameras dedicated to displaying microscopic images to plasma screens. Through this modern technology, learning is enhanced.

The lab was renamed the Dr John Kearney Anatomy Laboratory in 2021 in recognition of a significant donation by Dr John Kearney
