Getting around the Gold Coast: trains, trams, buses, taxis and Uber
The Gold Coast's public transport network comprises buses, trains and trams. (The tram is known as G:Link, or Gold Coast Light Rail: it is a single 20-kilometer line of nineteen stations from Helensvale Station in the north to Broadbeach South in the south.)
Alternatively, you might like to book a taxi or Uber to get to and from the conference venue from your accommodation.
To use public transport, you will need a 'Go Card'. You need to press your card on the Go Card reader when you both enter and exit the bus, train or tram. You can also use the Go Card on trains, buses and ferries in nearby Brisbane.
The following companies provide private, coach and limousine transfer services to and from the airport.
Brisbane is about an hour from the Gold Coast by train. From Bond University, take the 750 bus to Robina station; from Broadbeach, take either the tram to Helensvale Station or the numerous buses bound for Nerang, Robina or Varsity Lakes stations.
