|Film and Television|
Our film and television studies emphasise student production. Classes are designed to give students a broad-based foundation of all aspects of production from concept development and budgeting through to distribution and marketing. Students acquire skills in traditional and newly emerged production technologies, develop aesthetic and critical faculties and gain insight into the commercial and industrial aspects of the media business.
|Games and Multimedia|
Studies in these areas prepare students for careers in all aspects of the computer games and multimedia industries, from creating, publishing, manufacturing, distribution and retail facets of interactive entertainment through to the public relations, advertising, marketing and media promotional aspects of the industry.
Our journalism programs are designed to equip students with the skills they need for successful careers in news and current affairs in the modern media. With a focus on ethical truth seeking and a leading edge approach, classes use a combination of practical workshops, internships and state of the art technology to immerse students in real world reporting and editing experiences for both traditional and digital media.
Studies in this field focus on a combination of communication activities and press coverage simulations designed to educate students in the process of enhancing the prestige or goodwill of a company, product or individual. Students gain knowledge and experience in community relations, employee relations, media relations, multicultural communications, issues and crisis management, executive speech training and organisational relationship management.
