Structure & Subjects

The Bachelor of Arts program comprises 24 subjects, as follows:

University Core Subjects (4)

Bond University graduates are distinguished in the workplace by their superior leadership, communication and entrepreneurial abilities. These abilities are fostered through our unique Core Skills Program, whereby all Bachelor-level degrees must include one subject from each of the following four disciplines:

Communication Skills

Knowledge and Critical Thinking

Responsibility

Leadership, Initiative and Teamwork

Foundation (12)

Students must choose 12 subjects from the H&SS list of undergraduate subjects (School of Communication and Media, School of Humanities and School of Social Sciences). Students must complete two or more majors, or one double major, selected from the list of available majors in the General Rules.

Electives (8)

Students must choose eight (8) elective subjects of which at least four (4) must come from the H&SS list of undergraduate subjects (School of Communication and Media, School of Humanities and School of Social Sciences).

International Students

To fulfil your student visa requirements, you will need to enrol in 40 credit points per semester.

Domestic Students

Most students undertake 4 subjects per semester (equivalent to 40 credit points). You may however enrol in fewer subjects and extend your degree over a long period.

Teaching Methodology

Bond University’s teaching methodology involves a combination of lectures, tutorials, seminars, examinations, projects, presentations, assignments, computer labs and industry projects.
